The annual Christmas party will be held by the Recreation Committee on Saturday, December 12, 2009, from 4-6 PM. Santa Claus will be coming by and visiting the kids at the Lakeline Oaks Building at The Park at Lakeline Oaks. There will be food, crafts, and games, too. Please RSVP if you would like to attend by Thursday, December 10, 2009, to recreation@lakelineoaks.org via e-mail or 512-257-2265 via phone.
If you would like for Santa to give your child(ren) a present, you may drop it off at 2008 Lakeline Oaks Dr. Please call Terrie at 512-257-3731 first before you drop the gift(s) off.

Annual Christmas Lights Contest

The Landscaping Committee would like to remind homeowners of the upcoming annual Christmas lighting contest. The only requirements are that homes need to have their lights installed by Friday, December 18, 2009, and must be in good standing, which includes no delinquent dues and outstanding unpaid violation fines. Also, please ensure that your Christmas lights are on during the evenings of that weekend as the committee cannot judge those homes that are decorated, but are dark during that time period. The committee will drive around and determine the winners that weekend.
Recently, the prize amounts were increased. Therefore, the winners will receive the following gift card amounts from a local home improvement store:
1st Place: $100.00
2nd Place: $75.00
3rd Place: $50.00

Water Conservations Rules & Regulations

As of August 30th, 2009, central Texas has endured its hottest summer on record by experiencing 67 days with temperatures of at least 100 degrees. The annual average is 12 triple-digit days while the record is 69 (Source: http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/08/30/Austin-Texas-enduring-record-heat/UPI-39321251652098/).
In August, Williamson Travis Counties Municipal Utilities District (MUD) #1 decided to do its part in this extreme and extended drought by following the mandatory water conservation measures set forth by the city of Cedar Park’s Drought Contingency and Water Plan 2, which is triggered when a combined storage volume in Lake Travis and Buchanan drops to 900,000 acre feet.
The rules and regulation associated with the plan that Lakeline Oaks must follow can be found at http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/page2502027.aspx.
Failure to comply with the mandatory watering schedule can result in a fine up to $500 per day. If a residence receives more than three tickets, the MUD can discontinue water service to the account.
